glad you're both ok and no one was hurt. as far as the Z is concerned, try not to get hopped up on it too much. when i still had my 240SX, i took a turn (like you, one that i knew and had taken fast before many times) faster and felt like drifting the turn out. i had done a lot of parking lot drifting in that car and knew how it handled pretty well. well, the rain was kind of, sort of fresh, so there may have been a little bit of oil build up. but i took the turn, got sideways like i had planned, corrected it and i felt i was good. however, as soon as i felt i was good and ready to go again, my rear end kicked out again and it caught me off guard and i was too late to correct it and my driver's side went into a wire fence. damage was only cosmetic, but it was ugly. i felt like you did too, but my whole thing was that it was just a car. i loved that car, it was my very first car. my circumstances were a little different since i was getting ready to sell the car since it had a salvaged title. give it a little time, fix it, and learn from it. your car is still in GREAT condition and wants you to drive it again. keep your head up. i think most of us have been in that very same situation.
